My project is to shadow the Sogn and Fjordane Theatre, following their rehearsals, performances and tours.
I have the freedom to follow and interpret planned and random events with no obligations whatsoever to the institution. I rarely take pictures of the performances. The work is going well, but I’m struggling to get good shots (of course). Have noticed wear and tear ensuing from the constraints that apply in the world of theatre. It is an artificial and illusionistic world. Realities pave the way for illusions. SOFT stages four major productions a year. The latest: ‘Turn me on, dammit’ is touring now, and it’s very important for me if I am to bring the project to a successful conclusion.
