It has been inspiring to work in another part of Norway, and to hear new stories from Eastern Europe. In October, I will return to Oslo. I’ve started working with sound recordings and will be including the voices of the people I portray in order to add a new dimension to the project.
“In the past, I spent a lot of time reflecting on my topic. I have encountered challenges when it comes to finding a form of expression, and staying focused on what originally piqued my interest in the topic. The more I work on the project, the more interesting aspects and approaches I discover.
The topic of foreign women who choose to leave their families to work in Norway is extremely nuanced and complex. I find it difficult to eliminate stories that may also need attention.
