On 8 February, Perspektivet Museum in Troms\u00f8 will be opening an exhibition entitled “The Norwegian Journal of Photography Goes North!” This will be a group exhibition of the works of seven NJP photographers.<\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1739302085151{padding-top: 4% !important;}” text_direction=”default”]Today’s media landscape challenges the boundaries of established documentary photography. Can a photograph be documentary and artistic at the same time?<\/p>\n

In the seven projects on exhibit at Perspective Museum<\/a>\u00a0in Troms\u00f8, the photographers used their cameras to explore the world and tell stories. Their approaches vary from a fragmented snapshot aesthetic and isolated images to longer photo essays and digital manipulation.<\/p>\n

Thematically, there is tremendous variation in the projects. Living in exile, fast fashion, and what happens in a family when dad becomes mum, cover only a few of the photographers’ projects.<\/p>\n

One theme common to all the projects is nevertheless the wish to explore the world we share and the challenges we currently face. The opening is scheduled for 4 p.m. on 8 February, and the curator for the exhibition, Marthe T. Fjellstad, will have discussions with photographers Hilde Honerud, Javad Parsa and Christian Belgaux.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NJP Goes North! will show excerpts from an exhibition arranged by the Preus Museum in collaboration with NJP. The curator was Hege Oulie (Preus), in collaboration with Rune Eraker (NJP). The curator at Perspektivet Museum is Marthe T.
