{"id":1105,"date":"2011-10-23T23:37:48","date_gmt":"2011-10-23T21:37:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.njp.no\/?p=1105"},"modified":"2023-03-22T08:30:07","modified_gmt":"2023-03-22T07:30:07","slug":"my-project-monica-larsen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/njp.no\/en\/2011\/my-project-monica-larsen\/","title":{"rendered":"My project: Monica Larsen"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><strong style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Georgia, serif;\">I spent large parts of September in Finnmark County, where I have photographed Lithuanian women in B\u00e5tsfjord.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">It has been inspiring to work in another part of Norway, and to hear new stories from Eastern Europe.\u00a0In October, I will return to Oslo. I&#8217;ve started working with sound recordings and will be including the voices of the people I portray in order to add a new dimension to the project.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">&#8220;In the past, I spent a lot of time reflecting on my topic. I have encountered challenges when it comes to finding a form of expression, and staying focused on what originally piqued my interest in the topic. \u00a0The more I work on the project, the more interesting aspects and approaches I discover.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The topic of foreign women who choose to leave their families to work in Norway is extremely nuanced and complex. I find it difficult to eliminate stories that may also need attention.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><strong>Monica Larsen<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I spent large parts of September in Finnmark County, where I have photographed Lithuanian women in B\u00e5tsfjord.
